About: Hailing from the suburban town of Onett in the country of Eagleland, Ness looks ordinary, yet he is anything but. A yo-yo loving, baseball playing boy who is often mistaken for being younger than he actually is, Ness possesses tremendous telekinetic abilities, and, despite his age, has mastered them. Ness is surprisingly mature and responsible, having once lead three others in a quest to save the planet he once called home. A generally open, friendly kid, Ness usually makdes friends easily, but being at that awkward age, (which has been made even more awkward by his life experiences and what kind of a mess he's been thrown into) sometimes finds himself nervous and shy, especially when he's now in a completely strange, new world without the presence of the family and friends he's extremely attached to.

However independent in the general sense he is, Ness is completely dependent on forming bonds with others, ones that are stronger than any psychic power at his disposal. Prone to homesickness, Ness is often distracted by memories of what he no longer has. It's made him seem aloof to the other residents of Twilight Town, and as a result, that while in his home country of Eagleland, Ness had no trouble making friends, he has few in the world that's become his new reality. He's currently struggling to fit into the Twilight Town society and is hesitant to show anyone his telekinetic power, in fear of being treated like an outcast if he does.

Also slightly irrelevant, but Ness is apparently famous for having the most boring thoughts ever, as a mind reading screen has proven.

Main Weapon: The Dolphin Loop, a yo-yo that Ness happened to have on him when he was taken to Centerverse. It was formerly his secondary weapon, but his first choice, a baseball bat, was left behind in Onett.
Fighting Style: Well-rounded. Uses basic fighting moves such as punches and kicks. Also known to use his psychic powers to enhance these techniques. Can also use his telekinetic abilities in a variety of ways, such as attacking, defending, healing, and turning his own body into a supercharged weapon.
Strengths: Ness is an excellent jumper with the ability to double jump. With a wide variety of attacks at his disposal, Ness has many ways to deal with opponents. Despite his childlike personality and appearance, he has a high tolerance for pain and can take quite a beating before going down. Ness fights best with an ally, especially close-range fighters.
Weaknesses: Ness is somewhat on the slow side, (possibly due to being so short limbed) and many of his attacks require time to build energy and be effective. The fact that he no longer has his main weapon, the baseball bat, is also a strike against him. He is completely vulnerable while using advanced psycho kinetic techniques, (he must stand completely still and cannot defend himself while using them) and he needs a few moments to recover after using said techniques. Being short and stubby, he has a rather small physical attack range when not using a weapon. His biggest weakness, however, is his own emotional state. An upset Ness has difficulty concentrating, and depending on what he's feeling, can distract him, break his will to fight, severely dampen the strength of his attacks, (his psychic powers in particular) or lose control of his psychic attacks.

The character Ness is owned by Nintendo and HAL Laboratory, this journal is used for fun and non-profit roleplay. This version of Ness is based on the player's interpretation of his character, and is a mix of his Earthbound and Super Smash Bros. incarnations.
